A Little Bird Told Me (Era Vulgaris download)
Hello friend -
Thank you for accepting this gift. Included you will find the will to dance & the song ERA VULGARIS. It was pulled from the new album (of the same name) so that it could be to you and become an example of how we think “from now on” should be. As in - We do for you, you do for us.
So to start this relationship off, we have done for you. Now we ask this in return. Share this with friends you think we (you & us) would enjoy. Upload it and spray it like time released graffitti (sic) on the websites of places it does not belong.

Movie Review - The Last Mimzy

The Last Mimzy is the first great family film I’ve seen in years. It is well-written, has enough adult themes to keep parents interested, great special effects, and a fantastic team behind the cameras from the writers to the sound design. The story focuses on two children, Noah and Emma (played by newcomers Chris O’Neil & Rhiannon Leigh Wryn), who find a mysterious box on the beach filled with “toys” and stuffed rabbit. The twist? The toys are from the future, the rabbit (named Mimzy) talks to Emma, and it’s here to save humanity.

Hypocrite alert: Sony tells PSP devs to get creative

SCEE game director Tony Buckley says PSP developers need to get more creative, and “create something that attracts people to PSP” in an interview with CVG.
This tickles me. Sony’s history of arrogance and the general atmosphere of the PSP (a tiny, portable console) encouraged ports of console titles with minimal changes. When Sony themselves discouraged creativity with solid but unimaginative console-ish titles like Wipeout Pure and Daxter, hearing a Sony employee now practically begging developers to try new things with the handheld seems hypocritical at best.

Review: Melodrama by Vibe Tribe
I recently had the pleasure of getting a copy of Vibe Tribe’s first album, Melodrama.
The first few seconds of Melodrama, “Vinyla Sky”, start the album off with a nice ambient psy feel, and quickly progresses into sacred Vibe Tribe territory, flowing, liquid rhythms, composed of a wide range of synth and filtering. In the same fashion as Wise Cracks, there are no lyrics, just a constant ebb and flow of pure psychedelic sound, with a few key samples. Read more

Live search is now implemented, with minimal pain and suffering to small animals. Thanks jQuery. Here’s the code in question. (I was going to have it in the post, but WP fucked it up.)
Movie Review - Hot Fuzz
“Hot Fuzz” (2007) is one of those movies that is destined for B-rated classic humor, in the same way that Office Space, The Burbs, or Mystery Men are destined to be forgotten “those 2000s” movies.
Music Review - Queens of the Stone Age “Era Vulgaris”
Josh Homme and friends bring the ruckus with a gritty followup to Lullabies to Paralyze.
